the faces behind the names

Seth Hudson, Founder

Seth is the founder, visionary, and risk-taker behind Premier Host Homes. A Registered Nurse by trade, Seth spent years working in the hospital setting where he witnessed firsthand the lack of resources and long-term support available for individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral health crises. Seeing those gaps in care sparked something in him — he knew he wanted to create something different and make a lasting impact in people’s lives.

Known for his entrepreneurial spirit, Seth has always had a passion for building businesses, taking chances, and thinking big. His energy and excitement are contagious, and he has a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether working with members, providers, staff, or community partners, Seth’s charisma and belief in people naturally draw others into his vision. Even the most skeptical people often leave conversations with Seth believing in what Premier can become.

Before founding Premier, Seth worked as a host home provider for another company. During that time, he experienced policies and systems he didn’t agree with and felt there had to be a better way to support both members and providers. It was Daiton who encouraged Seth to take the leap and start his own company. Around that same time, Seth met Marissa, and together the journey of Premier truly began.

Today, Seth continues leading Premier with the same passion that started it all — creating a company where care comes first, providers feel valued, and members are genuinely supported in building meaningful lives.

Marissa Anderson, Chief Operating Officer

Marissa is the founding Chief Operating Officer of Premier Host Homes and the driving force behind turning big ideas into reality. A registered nurse with a background as an RN House Supervisor at a psychiatric hospital, Marissa spent years seeing firsthand the gaps in mental health support and community-based care.

Marissa and founder Seth first met online, instantly connecting over their shared love for travel, adventure, and helping others. Early in their relationship, the two took a road trip through Canada that would unknowingly shape the future of Premier. While discussing Seth’s dream of starting a host home company, Marissa asked what the next steps were. Seth, the visionary and “big ideas” person, admitted he wasn’t exactly sure. Without hesitation, Marissa pulled out his iPad and began researching applications, requirements, and startup steps right there on the road. By the end of the trip, she was already filling out forms and organizing the process.

Seth was immediately impressed by Marissa’s attention to detail, focus, and ability to take an idea and turn it into action. He asked her if she “just wanted to run his company” while on that trip. At the time, Marissa laughed it off — but only a few weeks later, she was fully invested in both Seth and Premier Host Homes.

Today, Marissa serves as the structure behind the vision. As Seth often says, “She’s steps 1, 2, and 3 to my 4, 5, and 6.” Her organization, dedication, and relentless work ethic help keep Premier moving forward while ensuring both members and host home providers receive the highest level of care and support.

Daiton Martin, Founding Support Advocate

Daiton Martin, Founding Support Advocate

Daiton played an important role in the beginning of Premier Host Homes, even before the company officially existed. She was the person who encouraged Seth to take the leap and start Premier, and she is also the one who came up with the name “Premier Host Homes.”

While she is not part of the administrative side of the company, her heart has always been in direct member care. She is deeply passionate about helping individuals live happy, supported, meaningful lives and believes genuine care and human connection make all the difference.

Known for her kindness, supportive nature, and welcoming personality, Daiton is often a friendly face people can count on. She brings compassion, encouragement, and positivity everywhere she goes — not only to members, but also to providers, families, and coworkers alike.

Outside of her work, she is also a dedicated and loving mom who leads with patience, heart, and compassion in every area of life.

As Seth’s mom she is the woman behind the chaos at Premier.

Known for her kind and gentle nature, Marcie is often the first person people turn to with questions, concerns, or simply when they need a helping hand. She coordinates the day-to-day chaos with grace, manages payroll and member payee services, and helps ensure both members and providers feel cared for and supported. Whether it’s stepping in to assist with member cares, helping solve a problem, or simply offering reassurance, Marcie is always willing to do whatever is needed.

Friendly and approachable, Marcie seems to know everyone and has a way of making people instantly feel comfortable. Her compassion, patience, and dedication help create the family-like culture that makes Premier Host Homes special.

Outside of work, Marcie recently achieved a lifelong dream by opening her own consignment store — a reflection of her hardworking spirit, creativity, and passion for connecting with people.

Hailey Weland, IC Manager

Britton Mahler, RBSCL Director

Sometimes the best additions to a team happen unexpectedly. Seth first met Hailey while she was working at Scooter's Coffee, where her kindness, positive attitude, and ability to make a great coffee immediately stood out. He saw something special in her and knew he wanted her to be part of Premier Host Homes.

Hailey began her journey as a Direct Support Professional, where she quickly became known for her patience with members, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever help was needed. She had a natural talent for keeping homes organized, assisting supervisors with extra responsibilities, and creating a calm, supportive environment for the members in her care.

Today, as IC Manager, Hailey has become a trusted go-to person for both members and host home providers. She is always available to answer questions, help navigate challenges, and provide support whenever it’s needed. Through her monthly visits to each home, she helps ensure providers and members feel connected, supported, and cared for.

Hailey’s growth within Premier has been exciting to watch, and her compassion, reliability, and dedication continue to make a lasting impact on the people around her. We are excited to continue watching her grow and thrive in her role for years to come.

Seth first met Britton while looking to rent one of his properties, but what started as a business connection quickly turned into a friendship. Bonding over golf and shared values, it didn’t take long for Seth to see the kind of hardworking, dependable person Britton was.

Britton and his wife, Allie, first joined Premier Host Homes as backup staff before transitioning into host home providers themselves. Through every role, Britton has consistently shown a strong work ethic, reliability, and a “get it done” mentality. He is the kind of person who always shows up, steps in where needed, and makes sure things are taken care of the right way.

As Premier continues expanding services into RBSCL, Britton will be stepping into the role of RBSCL Director — a role we know he is perfectly suited for. His leadership, dedication to members, and commitment to supporting providers make him the right person to help guide this next chapter of growth.

Outside of work, Britton and his wife Allie recently welcomed their second baby boy into the world, and we love watching their beautiful family grow. Their compassion, family values, and care for others shine through in everything they do, and we are grateful to have them as part of the Premier family.

Stephanie Nelson, IC Manager

Stephanie Nelson, IC Manager

Stephanie is the newest member of the Premier Host Homes team and will be serving host home providers and members throughout the Council Bluffs and surrounding areas.

Like many great additions to Premier, Stephanie’s journey started in true Seth fashion. While she was working part-time as backup staff for one of our host home providers, Seth struck up a conversation and asked the question he has become known for: “Do you want a job?” After getting to know Stephanie and learning about her extensive background, the team quickly recognized the experience, compassion, and leadership she would bring to Premier.

Stephanie has more than 10 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a wide variety of roles. Her background includes residential services ranging from direct support in group homes to managing homes, coordinating services, case management, and overseeing Host Home programs. She has also worked in vocational services as both a Direct Support Professional and Floor Supervisor, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the many paths individuals can take to live meaningful, independent lives.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies, continuing her commitment to learning and advocacy.

Beyond her professional experience, Stephanie brings something equally valuable—lived experience. She and her husband are raising four children, and as their youngest undergoes evaluation for autism, she understands firsthand the joys, challenges, and emotions families experience while navigating disability services. That perspective fuels her passion for supporting not only the individuals we serve but also the families and providers who care for them.

Stephanie’s combination of knowledge, empathy, and dedication makes her a wonderful addition to the Premier family, and we’re excited to have her serving our providers and members in western Iowa.
